Some people seem to think that "Yeah this is a classic Universal monster movie. Right up there with the Wolfman or Dracula." But no, just because it's a Universal Monster film doesn't make it automatically a good horror film.
As a matter of fact this is really more of on par with all the other crappy horror/sci-fi movies that came out at about the same time. Though the monster looks great, the story and cast are weak.
