Review of Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) by Wayne F — 25 Nov 2007

I'd never seen this and so wasn't sure if it would really live up to its status as a classic, but I'm pleased to say that it is. The cinematography of the setting is gorgeous and the underwater sequences are superb especially considering when it was made.

The most respect however goes to the people who made the suit (it looks seamless - how the hell did he get in the thing?) and the guy who wears it - imagine what he must have gone through swimming underwater for long periods of time wearing the thing!
