Review of Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) by William B — 02 Nov 2008

This movie's a lot of fun, and better than I expected it to be. Yeah, it's a guy in a rubber suit, but the movie itself is well-paced and frequently quite tense. Or it would be tense, if the monster wasn't, y'know, a guy in a rubber suit.

Interestingly, this movie kind of predicts ALIEN, in the sense that there's a creature picking off its victims one at a time on a ship in an isolated location. And underwater, no one can hear you scream.
