Review of Creation (2009) by Duncan S — 26 Sep 2009
Charles Darwin has spent 20 years of his life writing "On The Origin Of Species" but as it nears completion he starts to doubt wether he should publish it as it goes against everything his wife holds dear.
More a story about the strength of his relationship than his scientific discoveries, the film suffers from slow pacing, the inevitable outcome and an over use of his dead daughter as conscience. To counteract this however the performances are exemplorary, the period detail stunning and solid direction.
