Review of Creation (2009) by Kristopher P — 26 Sep 2009
Erm, I'm not sure what to say about this one! Got a bit bored in some parts, I think it was quite hard to understand the magnitude of turning your back on God when we now belong to a very different society.
I found the relationship between Darwin and his wife/family the most interesting part of the film, I cried ... quite a lot!
Paul Bettany was SO SO good and it was lovely to see him and Jennifer doing a film together, I wonder how they managed to switch off at home though, their relationship was pretty intense!
Didn't know much about Darwin going into the film so it was nice to learn some things, and with that in mind I'm off to Wikipedia .. an obvious reliable source ;) to read up!
Glad I saw it, was more interesting than doing laundry on a Sunday afternoon but I don't think I'll be buying it on DVD!
PS if you're an animal lover who can't bear to watch animals being hurt, be warned! A few people actually walked out of the screen after a fox killed a rabbit .... seemed a bit daft to me! Why would you go and see a film about Darwin if you don't agree with death, creation and evolution! DOH!
