A film about Darwin's battle with berievement following the death of his daughter. Because he has doubts about the existance of God his berievement is far greater. Being unable to talk about things with his priest and his deeply religeous wife, he has a kind of mental breakdown.
The inappropriate use of the hand held camera can only be blamed on the director. Even with better filming this would never have been a great film.
