Review of Creation (2009) by Jaakko-Juhana T — 25 Jan 2010
Like Bones this movie is virtually pointless in all the crap that's expected (debating with his peers in colleges and other professional venues?) versus what's presented. It should talk about creation, evolution, and the fight to bring the world to it's senses but dodders along without going into that subject matter, on either side of the debate dancing around it in ridiculuos saccarin or bitter family drama.
If that family drama had any feet to stand on and actually had a point, but it doesn't. I didn't even really want to see this one. Jennifer Connelly plays her role too well and it's one I don't like.
Was this an accurate representation of Darwin, his life, his work? Don't we take for granted his version of things? or the polar opposite position taught by the church? Or is the take-away that we should just pay more attention to what we see in nature? Things live and die, and as the grow and mature some get better and some worse.
