Review of Creation (2009) by Robert H — 10 Jun 2011
While Creation would easily lend itself to a film full of adventure and wonderment following Darwin as he searches and learns from the multitude of animals of the world while researching for his book it instead focuses on the struggle of Mr. Darwin as he fights his inner demons with regards to actually writing his famous book On The Origin of Species at all.
It's an interesting approach and one that lends itself to some entertainment value but it becomes somewhat repetitive and loses it's luster after awhile.
But, it would make for a good chapter in a series on Darwin if it was ever turned into a Jacques Cousteau meets Robinson Crusoe type television series with emphasis on realism rather than adventure.
Hmmmm maybe I should pitch that to somebody. Stamped it patent pending :P.
