Review of Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011) by Tevi S — 28 Dec 2013
Very very surprised by this one, usually I don't like Steve Carell when he is in comedy films as he is a little too over the top. Here he puts on a very sophisticated performance as a man coming to terms with his wife wanting a divorce.
This chronicles a year in the life of him and his family moving on and forming new relationships. It is a lot like ''Love, Actually'' but with a lot less interwoven plots, which to come together perfectly in the films last act.
There wasn't that many jokes but it does make you laugh and it does make you tear up in a few of its more serious moments. Essentially its the performances of all of the cast that bring this together and make it worth a watch, I was very entertained and although there wasn't a proper ending it did have that one thing that most of us who are left wanting to find that special someone.
Hope.
