Review of Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011) by Bruno V — 21 Jul 2016
A thoroughly enjoyable romantic comedy with a strong performance by Gosling despite his character not appealing to all audience members. He is the guy most men want to be but the one others will find appalling.
However this is part of the fun of the film watching him in action with his charm. Carrell gives a usual solid performance as the likeable, sympathetic lead and it is definitely their two's relationship and chemistry that drives the movie.
The plot is slightly predictable and does become contrived towards the end, with a very lame final act I may add, but it is easily forgotten as Crazy, Stupid, Love is a good way to enjoy a few hours of your night.
