Review of Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011) by Edward C — 06 Nov 2013
Plot/Summary,At fortysomething, straight-laced Cal Weaver (Steve Carell) is living the dream-good job, nice house, great kids and marriage to his high school sweetheart. But when Cal learns that his wife, Emily (Julianne Moore), has cheated on him and wants a divorce, his "perfect" life quickly unravels. Worse, in today's single world, Cal, who hasn't dated in decades, stands out as the epitome of un-smooth. Now spending his free evenings sulking alone at a local bar, the hapless Cal is taken on as wingman and protégé to handsome, thirtysomething player Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling).
My Review.
You know the only reason I was interested in seeing this was because of the music in the background of every commercial I saw for it. It went a little little something like this "My life you electrify my life" and that's what got me interested in the film well that and one of my many wife's Emma stone was in this film. The film starts of a little creepy when you see the legs of people in a restraunt then we meet some of our two main characters Cal and Emily Weaver and Emily wants a divorce so later in like the first fifteen minutes Cal jumps out of car. The film title for me when I first heard about it I thought it was stupid cause it said Crazy stupid love but then as I was watching I understood why it was called crazy stupid love because its what happens when your in a hard relationship Crazy stupid love. Crazy stupid love is not a crazy stupid film that's why it gets a five out of five.
