Review of Crazy Rich Asians (2018) by Bill T — 16 Aug 2018

In the middle of the film, I started to feel a sense of comfort to see Asian faces in a regular contemporary Hollywood movie that didn't involve martial arts, violence or guns. I can only imagine how incredible it must have felt to film this movie without feeling like the minority.

I loved learning about this world that Kevin Kwan has introduced us to and I really hope they make films out of the 2nd and 3rd book of his crazy rich trilogy! I read them all and loved them! I would say most of what I read was brought to life in the movie, especially Eddie! Perfect casting! Thank you to Jon Chu and Kevin Kwan for giving Asian-American faces a chance to shine on the big screen! You have truly begun a movement!
