Truth be told, I was on board with this movie when I saw the first trailers months ago. The scenes showcasing Awkwafina's comedic talent had me laughing out loud. I wanted more. So yep, I marked the opening date on my calender and patiently waited. Crazy Rich Asians is a YES in my book. Definitely go see it on the big screen.. I mean see it today!
Constance Wu did not dissappoint in the title role. This lady is hiliarous and I just love her work in Fresh off the Boat. Awkwafina and Ken Jeong played their roles to perfection. I have to give a "hats off" to the unbilled characters... the toe tappin' finger poppin' Music, beautiful Singapore locals (tourism should get a boost), rich family Traditions and the Food.. lots and lots of delicous looking, mouth watering food!
Crazy Rich Asians is a great feel good Romantic Comedy. A Cinderella story with a little something for everyone humor, intrigue..... romance. So do yourself a favor stop reading right now and go get tickets for the very next showing at your local theater.
