Review of Crazy Love (2007) by Daisy A — 13 Apr 2008
Diagnose away, my clinical friends! This was an interesting documentary about a couple "in love" who were enmeshed to the nth degree. Burt is a young, slick lawyer who meets the beatiful Linda in 1957.
He immediately struck me as manipulative and his loose morals are evident in his questionable business practices. He becomes obsessed with Linda, woos her, dates her, lies about a number of things. When she smartly moves on to another suitor, he decides if he can't have her nobody does.
Then he does what any unstable man in love would do....throws acid in her face. Watch the documentary. And see how they go from the acid attack to them getting back together and getting married. Sad, twisted, and strangely heartwarming at points.
Just wow.
