Review of Dark Victory (1939) by Daisy A — 27 Oct 2008
Wow. I continue to be convinced that 1939 was the greatest year for films EVER. Consider that Dark Victory was released in the same year as Stagecoach, the Women, Gone with the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, Mr.
Smith Goes to Washington, Ninotchka AND Wuthering Heights. The mind reels! Great work as usual by Davis and Geraldine Fitzgerald is a knockout as the best friend.
