Thought this was going to be simply The Wrestler done country style, but it's a lot gentler and far les complicated than that. It's a lot like country music in fact. It works mostly because Jeff Bridges is so watchable.

Colin Farrell was an odd choice, playing a rather rodenty, fidgetty Country mega-star protegee, but the songs are good and it actually looks like everyone is really playing.
