Hmm, Jeff Bridges, always Jeff Bridges. I think I've seen too many movies about broken down alcoholic country singers, because this one didn't really engage me. Maggie Gyllenhaal is always great - although why she falls for JB is a mystery.
There's nothing wrong with the production values, but the plot's a bit glib and JB is implausible, somehow. Didn't float my boat.
