The role is a nice fit for Bridges, who embodies the typical old, always drunken and wasted ex country star who drives from town to town to perform in small bars or run-down bowling alleys. The script is nice, a little slow paced, but that is ok for this genre.
Jeff can certainly sing and radiates a good feeling for the audience. This is a nice little american story, which could happen every day.
