Review of Crazy/Beautiful (2001) by Geo C — 09 Jul 2008
Kind of a Romeo + Juliet -esque feel to this movie. Carlos (Hernandez), a young man from the bad part of town puts his dreams and goal on hold when he meets and falls for a very complicated and troubled little princess (Dunst).
This movie was an emotional seesaw. Sometimes I'd be rooting for their romance to pull through and sometimes I be thinking they'd be better off without each other. The camera work was pretty good, the story with its particular twists and turns was engrossing and the acting was very good and effective.
A sexy, complicated, emotional teenage love story.
