Review of Crazy/Beautiful (2001) by Jade P — 19 Nov 2009

Crazy Beautiful was a drama/romantic film. The film took place in Los Angeles, California. The cast of the film were Kirsten Dunst (Nicole), Jay Hernandez (Carlos) and Bruce Davison (Tom Oakley). John Stockwell was the director of this Loving and dramatic film.

Carlos and Nicole are two teenagers in high school. Nicole a rich young girl who really didn?t care about anything after her mother died, she didn?t trust anyone not even her father who she thinks doesn?t care about her. Carlos wasn?t too much of a wealthy kid but he was focused on his school work and his future, he wanted to become a pilot. These two had a relationship with many conflicts and distractions in their lives.

The acting of the film was acceptable but it could have been better. The actors could have put more emotion into their acting to make it look realistic, for example Nicole could have put more emotions into her acting when she cries or feel sad. If I had to judge on the acting, I would make a scale one through ten I would choose six or seven but somehow the movie was still good.

Costume designs where great and had a meaning for each character. The costume designs told something about each character and how they feel about their selves and also how they live. They custom also express how they feel about there selves. Carlos dress based on how he live who wasn?t wealthy and Nicole dressed based on how she feels by dressing raggedy and careless.

Crazy Beautiful in my opinion is a fine movie. I would recommend young lovers like the couple in the movie to go out and see Crazy Beautiful. I usually don?t watch drama/romantic movies but this film changed my point of view.
