Review of Crank (2006) by Nik M — 12 Mar 2012
This is a definition of a high-adrenaline action film. I feel Sylvester Stallone was not able to match up to this action quality in his recent films (though he still has much hope). Crank takes the idea of pacing, pairs it almost solidly quick with great flowing editing techniques and creates a film that takes hold of its viewers and does not let go, not until the end when the credits roll up.
The characters, though lacking in any sort of depth, are entertaining and Jason Statham is set loose with anger and action.
