Review of Crack in the World (1965) by Craig C — 26 Sep 2013
Almost a decade before plate tectonics and the Energy Crisis, this ambitious low budget disaster film is decades ahead of its time. Dueling scientists seeking perpetual clean energy in the Earth's magma start a running crack that threatens to destroy the Earth.
The romance echoes "When Worlds Collide" and the ending begs for a coda, but this screams for a 21st Century reboot. Highly recommended.
