This movie began by exploring the theme and life experience of being stranded and helpless in the big city, and generally did a very good job at resolving it very cleverly. then a happy ending was thrown together, and the movie surreptitously ended.
The middle of this movie did a great deal, but the ending was downright awful. this movie could have done a far, far better job of looking at violet's predicament in a more realistic light and ending the movie in a way that was somewhat appropriate to the conflicts of the character that had been presented.
