Review of Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret (2014) by Zandra E — 05 Aug 2017
This film is surprising profound. I caught myself being kind of "ugh, a Cali dude bro" at first, but I was so wrong. His journey mirrored my own. I am not anti-meat, but the more I study about my impact on the world around me, I can't ignore that my privilege is is problematic.
This film helped open my eyes to what I need to do versus what I complain about. I think this movie pushes personal accountability at the end versus feeling hopeless. He can't stop big agriculture or make people change their minds like he thought in the beginning.
What he could do was change what was in his control- himself.
