I am a person of faith, a Christian and a solid believer in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. That being said, if you substitute discipline, compassion and accountability for all of the areas where non- believers may take issue with, you still have a movie of great family value.
It brings to light the importance of the role of the father in the lives of our children. A foundation our society needs to acknowledge, recognized and act upon. This does not in any way imply that only children of the typicl father and mother in same household stand a chance.
Even the movie recognizes that thisisn't always going to be the norm. It has a slow start as it developes the characters, but I guarantee a lot of belly laughs, tears and stirred memories. Watch and decide for yourself!
