Review of Courageous (2011) by Barbara H — 25 Mar 2012
I suppose if you're not a Christian 'Courageous' may seem corny in parts, especially a father taking his daughter out for dinner and giving her a purity ring. But, I'm sure that every girl watching that scene craves such a father.
Courageous is the 'deep crying out to deep' in every soul for a loving father. The irony being that you can't really be a loving father without the help of The Loving Father who created us.
I really don't know how I would feel about this movie before I became a follower of Christ. I know I was pretty cynical and jaded. But as a Christian I think it is the best Christian movie I have seen so far.
Everyone I lend it to wants to watch it twice. I've watched it many times.
