Look no further than the Written and Produced bylines to realize why this was a giant flop. The characters are so fake and you fail to care what happens both 5 and 90 minutes in. The acting was sub-par, but no performance was more paltry than that of Jon Favreau.
Favreau just doesn't belong on the screen, in any film or production. I imagine they all had a killer time filming Couples Retreat, unfortunately the viewers don't feel the same way about it.
