Review of Country Strong (2010) by Ricardo C — 09 May 2011

I liked this movie, but I feel that there was something lacking. The emotions were running high in this one, but they were all over the place and were really hard to follow. You spend the whole movie wondering what horrible thing happened in Dallas and then are given a 10 second explanation, you root for the Canters to get there marriage back together and work things out, then you are left with the last hope that she will have a strong final performance.

Little do you know that this ending will not be what you are hoping for. If it weren't for the side romance between Beau and Chiles I would have to write this movie off entirely. Even with the inundation of country music I liked (not loved) this movie.
