Review of Countess Dracula (1971) by David B — 05 Oct 2012
An interesting tale of ugliness and beauty. Countess Bathory, an aging crone, stumbles on a beauty elixir via the blood of young virgin women from the village. Worth seeing for Pitt's performance..
.what a beauty she was. However the emphasis of this film along with other Hammer films of the early 70s is mostly sex, big breasted women and dreadfully blurred peripheral characters. The director manages some interesting cinematic flourishes.
