Review of Countess Dracula (1971) by Kylie B — 18 Jul 2005
One of a few attempts by Hammer, at making a historical film. There's just enough history to be boring, and just enough fiction to make the historical aspects laughably inaccurate.
In short, an elderly countess, with no relationship whatever to Dracula, discovers by chance that virgin's blood can restore her youth. Naturally the affect is only temporary, and every time she changes back she is older and uglier than before.
Not my thing at all. I think Hammer should have stayed away from this particular area.
