Review of Cosmopolis (2012) by Adam M — 31 Jul 2013
Interesting drama adaptation from David Cronenberg about a rich businessmans journey through New York on a day where capitalism is fucked and there are riots on the streets but all Eric Packer wants is a haircut across the other side of town in his luxurious limo. During his journey he encounters people from different walks of life, all representing important elements/changes made during ones life. All this whilst being in danger for his life.
Cosmopolis certainly isn't for everyone as it gets very deep but Robert Pattinson puts in a great performance as Eric Packer, definately not the type of character you'd associate him with and Paul Giammati almost steals the show from him in the last 10/15 minutes. Fans of stuff that makes you think and Cronenberg in general should check this out.
