Review of Cosmopolis (2012) by M W — 25 Jan 2013
I'll be watching this one a couple more times. Once with Cronenberg commentary. I probably will end up reading the novel as well. Lots of dialogue in this. This will certain divide audiences. Adapting challenging novels isn't anything new for Cronenberg.
Group this movie with his other book/novel adaptations Naked Lunch, Crash, Spider, A Dangerous Method. Great cast of characters that come and go. I found it a very interesting ride and it really will be too dense for a lot of people.
I truly will get a better sense of this movie once I read the novel. I have to say that Cronenberg always picks interesting novels to adapt to the screen and I love him for that.
