Review of Corpses (2004) by David. B — 19 Nov 2007
I'm a sucker when it comes to low-budget zombie films. Even when the majority of them rarely work or are a complete and utter piece of...ummm u know where I was going!!.. But corpses shines. Rolfe Kanefsky is great. He directed one of the funniest demon films I have seen since the Evil Dead trilogy, 'The Hazing aka Dead Scared' and he also asked sexy Tiffany Shepis back to co-star alongside lawnmower man Jeff Fahey as your mad undertaker and your usual male b-actor. Corpses feels like a dedication to the awesome Re-Animator and because of that it had just the right amount of charm to make it easier to enjoy instead of forcing yourself through 90mins of something a couple of mates put together..
If you liked Re-Animator and like a little humor, you will like this. Even if the humor boarders on cheesiness.....
