Review of Coraline (2009) by Scar D — 31 Jul 2012
Another masterpiece from Henry Selick, I am always impresed by the qualiy of his work. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT, the puppets are so detailed, the Selick's team did not missed one detail as tiny it could be.
I AM SO IMPRESSED once again, LOVED EVERY LITTLE THING. the quality of the stop-motion animation is incredible and the decor is absolutely gorgeous, God I would love to live in that pretty pink victorian house.
The only thing is that I prefer to watch the movie in French though, I didn't liked the Dakota Fanning's voice for Coraline, I think the voice in french fits better the personality of Coraline and the overall tone of the movie.
As a francophone I can watch movies in both languages, but I usually don't I prefer to stick with the original version, but for animated movies I have no problem to watch them in French. So I recommend this movie to everyone, SO GOOD , ONE OF MY TOP 5 OF ALL TIME! ( I saw it over 40 times).
Those years of work by everyone who worked to build this incredible world paid off, It worth it.
