Review of Coraline (2009) by Leilani E — 20 Dec 2018
Have you ever watched a children's movie that gave you the creeps? Or made your skin crawl at the thought of your mother taking your eyes? I want you to imagine your mother and father with button eyes and your life seems to be the opposite all because you went through a hole in the wall.
You start to love it until your mother offers your own set of button eyes on your birthday. Thanks to the amazing and creative director of Coraline, Henry Selick, you can watch a movie about an adventurous young girl, who finds a hole in the wall and decides to explore.
When she crawls through it she finds her life but a little different and peculiar. Everyone had button eyes and it all seemed perfect until she refused to give her mother her eyes that's when things took a bad turn.
I think that this movie deserves a five out of five because it kept me engaged and was interesting. I was constantly wondering what would happen next and no matter how many times I watch it, I never get bored.
This movie made me feel jumpy and aware of everything going on. I also wondered why it is a childrenï¿ 1/2(TM)s movie in the first place. Personally, this has been one of my favorite movies since I was little.
I recommend this movie if it draws your attention and Iï¿ 1/2(TM)m sure you will love it!
