Review of Coraline (2009) by Lihui C — 28 Aug 2012
It's an incredible viewing experience. The time and energy the creators must've took to make such a darn gorgeous film. The characters all have a little spunk to them, some life actually. Coraline is the typical "I'm smarter than you" kind of girl so at first she comes off as a bratty, self centered. When she finally realizes that it's all a trap then she has my sympathy and I was rooting for her until the very last scene. Its a lot more scarier than Pixar's cute and cuddly but embrace it and you'll feel the scary vibes that normally comes when viewing a horror movie. (Can you imagine if they made this into a real-action movie?!) it's entertaining, scary and original (not completely though).
98%.
