An deeply ugly and nasty little movie that fails to live up to its obvious inspiration, Silence of the Lambs. While Demme's movie was intelligent, sleak, with much black-comedy and insight, this film is simply harsh and needlessly disturbing.
A much more succesful walk on the absolute dark side is Seven.
