Review of Copycat (1995) by Anna S — 15 Mar 2009
This will always be my favourite Sigourney Weaver performance. I'm interested in real-life (serial) killers (but not in that superficial "he must've been a bed-wetter and he must've had a traumatic childhood" sort of way) and I used to be obsessed with this movie. Around that time I'd written most of my essays for school on serial killers (not just serial killers, though, there was a time when I was particularly interested in Leslie Van Houten's case), which I imagine my teachers must've found... interesting. The guy playing the killer is perfect.
I love the fact that we get to see how the movie will end at the very beginning. I also love the scenes in the bathroom stall and the scenes at Helen's lectures.
