It's a fascinating failure. It's a movie that just makes up it's own logic as it goes along. Ralph Bakshi wanted an animated/live action horror film, the producers wanted a darker version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and the result is a mess; but one you can't take your eyes off of.
