Review of Cookie's Fortune (1999) by Michael H — 09 Feb 2008
An uneven film that doesn't quite know whether it's a comedy or a quirky tone poem of the South. It's worth watching for Patricia Neal's all-too-short performance. Glenn Close and Julianne Moore are off their game (probably a result of the directing), but Charles S.
Dutton hits just the right note as Willis. Liv Tyler ain't bad either.
