Review of Cookie's Fortune (1999) by Carrie S — 20 Dec 2009
This is a great film by Robert Altman. I enjoyed watching this picture a lot. Cookie's Fortune is funny, it's moving, all the characters know each other. In the film there is a play down in Mississippi at the Presbyterian Church and just as with Altman's McCabe & Mrs Miller you really feel a sense of closeness with the characters you really do.
As the film progresses it turns into a whodunnit murder, a comedy, and a very heart warming feeling. Everybody should get a chance to see Cookie's Fortune.
