Review of Conversations with Other Women (2006) by Thea C — 10 Sep 2007
The story of two otherwise married people who meet at a wedding and decide to spend the evening together. The film plays out entirely in split screen, showing each character's different perspective on the past, the present and the future.
While this particular technique may fall short of its artistic ambitions, the script is well crafted and underpinned by an emotional truth, and backed up by excellent performances by both Helena Bonham Carter and Aaron Eckhart.
