Review of Conversations with Other Women (2006) by Ben H — 28 Jan 2012
As others have written the split screen aspect is very annoying. After the first 20 minutes I was ready to turn off the film but the dialogue kept my interest enough to continue on. Then I started to realize that the split screen was more than a gimmick that it represented the different views of the two players involved and what they thought was important.
The subtle nuances that were created by this effect gave the film a sweetness and honest approach to how we remember and feel things that I do not believe would have been possible otherwise. If you choose to watch this plan to endure it and you will be pleasantly rewarded, otherwise I would pass this film.
