Review of Control (2013) by Sarah G — 09 Feb 2009
Due to my great respect for Ian Curtis, I decided to watch it. It's hard to zip a lifestory of such personality into 2 hours. The movie is focused on his privacy, relationships with wife, not well balanced between career and the private life.
Perfect selection of soundtrack. During credits, I almost burst to tears when listening to "Atmosphere" - it doesn't happen to me very often.
Let's say that nobody could play this role better than Riley did.
Oh, Bob Geldof only did it better in "The Wall".
Anyway - the perfect case study of abandoned man, damaged by epilepsy, not adjusted to reality.
