I loved this film. Like really loved it. For someone who knows far too much about the life of this man, I still found it enjoyable. Control is really more of a piece of art rather than a film. I thought the black and white might drag it out, but the technique really did add to the experience.
Major props needs to go to the band actors for actually performing the Joy Division songs. It took me a while to realise that it wasn't the original recordings - it was that well done. Every moment had a purpose and every moment was beautiful.
I can't fault Control.
