Review of Continental Divide (1981) by Roni M — 18 Nov 2007
Belushi plays a hardened Chicago newspaper writer that is told to produce a story about an Eagle watcher (Brown) in the Rocky Mountains. Of course he is a fish outta water in the mountains and depends on the Brown character's aid in order to survive.
Of course a romance ensues. Classic boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl again. The actors worked well opposite each other and it was a chance to see John Belushi play a real person on the screen versus an SNL related character.
The movie drags on at times and gratuitous AmTrack shots let us know who the sponser was. The ending...well they didn't have one really, that was a downer.
