Review of Contempt (1963) by Wasawat C — 19 May 2007
"Clever, Charmin', Beautiful and Heartbreaking!!" One of The Most High Artistic European Film i've ever seen! Pure white, Deep Red and Dark Blue.. White is like Blance, Red is for Delight and Desires, Blue is Tragic reality.. Oh all were mixed in Harmony.. Great Cinematography of Raoul Coutard(Who never let me down for once!), Great Performance of Brigitte Bardot, Great Satire and Drama Story and Great Unique Style of A Great Director.. All in unity.. being one of the best film ever!!
Good simply story in a great narrative way. Comparing, metaphorsis and implication are all interestin' and intelligent!
Having A Great Score track that fit to every parts of the movie! I've never see something like this in other movies before.
Deep Red, Dark blue and pure white colours are always in Godard's movie.. Like he wanna put down the Flag of France on the top of Cinema World!! Yeah, He did it!! best period of France Film! One of (Not many)Truly unforgettable movies!!
