Review of Contempt (1963) by Christopher M — 23 Aug 2007
The score by Georges Delerue is deeply affecting in this modern-day Homeric Odyssey. Ever bit as heroic, I believe, as its subject. It's truly quite a feat that Godard was able to introduce a freshness to such an old topic, while retaining the classic tragedy in the original.
