Review of Contempt (1963) by Hugues D — 04 Dec 2008
The plot summary says almost nothing about how great a movie this is. With Jack Palance playing an obnoxious, conceited American producer who only understands movies as a money-making operation & Fritz Lang - the great director actually directing a film within the film, you can't find a better movie about movie-making! (except maybe Day for Night by Truffault) If you like movies, movie making or Godard, you should definitely see this movie.
