Review of Contempt (1963) by Brandon — 18 Dec 2008
Another hype movie which is in fact a very boring movie. "Bardot at her best" people say. All I see in this movie is a nude woman asking her husband Am I beautiful? Are my eyes beautiful? Are my thighs beautiful? Are my feet beautfiful? (yes you get the point by now!) while her dull husband answers Yes they are pretty! over and over again.
In the following scene they are fighting and of course she is hit in the face by him (that's what seems to be normal in all sixties movies) and then he wonders Hey why is she not loving me anymore? Yeah well.
.. Guess! Anyway these kind of stories I've seen enough of and this movie is totally unnecessary. To the garbage can with it!
